Spring 2020

I placed 7th nationally in the 2020 Hearst Awards in the TV News Category. This is one of two packages submitted to the Hearst Awards. The story explains how traffickers capitalize on crowds during major events through the eyes of a survivor.

I produced this package that received the highest score from CBS News executives out of nine summer intern projects. The story is about the New Jersey Aid in Dying Act and why one woman fought for the bill to become law.

This story won the Heartland Emmy Diversity, Equity and Inclusion category. It aired in May of 2021 on KTUL, during the Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial.
